Martina Nomsule is the Director of Finance and Administration at the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), where she manages the organization’s financial strategy, oversees grants, and handles operational management. Her work ensures strong financial integrity, donor and regulatory compliance, and the seamless functioning of internal systems that support effective project delivery and long-term organizational sustainability.

Since joining Centre LSD in April 2017, Martina has managed the finances of more than 40 high-impact donor-funded projects, working with institutions such as the Ford Foundation, UN Women, Christian Aid, Open Society Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, and Palladium. She has successfully implemented budgeting frameworks, developed financial forecasts, and overseen audit processes, enabling transformative programs in governance, gender justice, climate action, and civic engagement to flourish across Nigeria.

With two decades of progressive experience in financial management, Martina has built a reputation for operational excellence. Before her current role, she served as Accountant at Interior Woodwork Limited (2010–2016) and at Nanet Hotels Limited in Kaduna, where she rose from Cash Officer (2005-2008) to Assistant Accountant at Nanet Hotels (2008-2010). Her professional journey began in 2000 as a Computer Operator at Arewa Textiles Plc during her Industrial Attachment, followed by a teaching position during her National Youth Service at Etinan Comprehensive School in Akwa Ibom.

Martina is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Kaduna Polytechnic. She is also certified in QuickBooks and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, equipping her with the technical tools to lead modern finance functions effectively.

Fluent in English, Hausa, and Tiv, Martina combines financial acumen with strong interpersonal skills. She is deeply committed to transparency, teamwork, and service. Outside of work, she is passionate about reading, entertainment, and travel–interests that reflect her curiosity and well-rounded perspective.
