Akaroese Ahweyevu-Mukoro is a Social Media Intern at the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), where she supports the Communications Unit by creating mobile-friendly, relatable content that communicates the Centre’s mission with clarity and creativity. She works across leadership, strategy, and development projects to transform complex concepts into concise, engaging highlight videos that resonate with a broad Nigerian audience.
She led the social media campaign for the National Conference on Strengthening Democracy in Nigeria, collaborating with partners to execute an audience-first content strategy that achieved over 15,000 Facebook views and drew 244 live attendees within two days. She has also developed strategic visual content, which has elevated the visibility of major initiatives, including the Side-by-Side Movement Nigeria, OGP Nigeria, and the Decolonization & Anti-Racism in Social Work Practice Conference.
Before joining Centre LSD, Akaroese practiced law for six years with a focus on litigation and real estate. Her passion for communication and storytelling prompted a career shift into content creation, where she helped small businesses define their brand voice, connect with target audiences, and boost visibility through digital strategy and mobile videography. Her approach helped one business’s reposition as a luxury brand through strategic messaging and compelling visual content.
Akaroese holds an LL.B. from Girne American University, North Cyprus, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (Chartered).
Combining legal insight with creative storytelling, she is passionate about helping organizations and brands communicate effectively and tell people-centered stories that spark engagement and drive impact. Outside work, she enjoys meditative music, advertising research, and audiobooks on mindset and personal development. Her personal mantra is: “The faster I make mistakes, the faster I grow.”
