The Centre’s Strategy Plan (2019-2023) envisages that its Strategy focus within this period will be to consolidate her plans for the training and building the capacity of both National and International Organizations in the core areas of Strategy Formulation and Execution.
Centre LSD approach to Strategy is predicated on its recognition that Strategy is very crucial to the development and performance of any individual, organization or Nation. It posits that Strategy is the integrating mechanism that individuals, Organizations & Nations deploy in harmonizing major goals, policies and actions into a cohesive whole. Its focus is to develop individuals, Organizations and various other entities in the application and certification in Strategic Management.
Overall, the Centre’s approach to Strategy is hinged on “demonstrating how personal & organizational wide Strategy awareness and consciousness is an imperative for sustainable personal & organizational success.
CLSD believes that if through a systematic and well-orchestrated use of scheduled and bespoke training programmes to develop the capacity of individuals, organizations and Institutions for strategic management deployment, it will continue to strive to collaborate with Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria , Chartered (ISMNC) for the emergence of certified Strategist in Africa with a view to growing the critical mass of Strategist making impact in their respective areas of endeavor.
In line with its diagnosis that one of the three challenges to Africa development is ‘Absence of or inappropriate Strategies, it will develop linkages for engagement that will galvanize actions for the implementation of National and regional developments. This will go a long way in enhancing improved development outcomes in Africa.

Overall, our strategy work will continue to be sensitive to changes in the environment that ensures that the Stakeholders we work with continue to have a sense of politics, purpose and priorities in accomplishing their goals.
If we train individuals in Strategic Management and continue our collaboration with Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (Chartered) and establish requisite linkages and deepen discourse with relevant stakeholders. We will improve individuals’ capacity for strategic thinking and application and will be able to increase the critical mass of Strategists impacting organizations and galvanizing actions on National & Regional development plans for improved developmental outputs, outcomes and impact.
