See More ResourcesThe 2021 Annual Report highlights a landmark year of innovation and institutional positioning at Centre LSD. With strategic donor support–most notably from the Ford Foundation’s BUILD Grant–the Centre advanced its mission by deepening systems, hiring key personnel, expanding digital infrastructure, and mainstreaming gender across all programmes.
A standout achievement was the Centre’s social media outreach, which reached over 1.7 million people, marking a significant leap in public engagement and visibility.
Programme-wise, the Centre solidified its national footprint across governance, gender justice, extractive sector reform, leadership training, and civic advocacy. It implemented major projects like the C-CAGE initiative, which returned hundreds of out-of-school girls to classrooms in Adamawa, and the SAGE project, which mobilized male champions to advocate for women in politics.
The year also saw Centre LSD become a certified training hub for the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria (ISMN) and an official partner of the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (UK), reflecting its growing influence as a thought leader in governance and leadership.
Through strategic collaborations, expanded leadership schools in five states, and policy-shaping advocacy at the national level, the report presents Centre LSD as a resilient, forward-thinking institution charting the course for sustainable development in Nigeria.
