The 2019 Annual Report reflects Centre LSD’s “Year of Upgrade,” marked by the expansion of its leadership schools, deepened civic engagements, and strategic policy advocacy. The Centre graduated new cohorts across multiple regions, launched study centres in universities, and implemented key initiatives on governance, environmental justice, youth political participation, and extractive sector reform. The report also highlights impact stories from graduates, with real-world examples of how Centre LSD’s leadership training transformed careers, communities, and civic outcomes.

Major projects in 2019 included OGP implementation, girl-child education (in partnership with Malala Fund), capacity-building for aspiring young politicians in the Niger Delta, and improved sanitation access in Anambra PHCs. The Centre also amplified anti-corruption efforts, observed elections, advocated for environmental remediation in the Niger Delta, and engaged faith leaders on gender justice. With strengthened partnerships, increased media visibility, and improved organizational systems, 2019 set a strong foundation for future strategic consolidation.
