The 2013 Annual Report marks a year of strategic repositioning for Centre LSD, driven by the finalization and implementation of its first strategic plan. Building on earlier years of consolidation, the Centre expanded its influence through leadership training, entrepreneurship mentoring, ICT capacity building, and active engagement in policy advocacy, governance, and transparency. By the end of 2013, over 300 students had graduated from the Centre’s leadership programmes.

The report highlights growing partnerships and deeper community engagement, particularly in the Niger Delta. Centre LSD’s role in policy dialogue on issues like the Petroleum Industry Bill, election observation, and budget accountability reinforced its national relevance. New initiatives like the Voice to the People project and mentoring programmes underscore its commitment to empowering citizens to transform society through knowledge, leadership, and action.
