See More ResourcesThe 2011 Annual Report reflects a pivotal year for Centre LSD—one marked by the consolidation of foundational structures and the strategic expansion of its programmes. Building on its first year of operation, the Centre deepened its impact through leadership training, policy advocacy, election observation, and sustainable development initiatives across Nigeria. By the end of 2011, the Centre had graduated 186 students from its various leadership programmes and had launched new advocacy efforts in governance, climate change, and environmental health.
The report documents key interventions such as leadership schools, policy dialogue series, and civic engagements including election monitoring and budget advocacy. The Centre played a visible role in shaping discourse around Nigeria’s development strategy, public enterprise reform, and resource governance. Notably, its work reached communities through sanitation projects, environmental campaigns, and collaborative workshops with organizations like Konrad Adenauer Stiftung on climate issues.
Looking ahead, the report sets the tone for institutional strengthening and deeper engagement. With clear plans for enhanced strategic development and expanded outreach, Centre LSD positioned itself as a critical actor in building dynamic leadership and promoting democratic accountability in Nigeria.
