This profile document introduces the Side by Side Movement for Gender Justice, Nigeria, an interfaith initiative launched in 2018 to promote gender equality through the influence of faith and traditional leaders. With Centre LSD as its national secretariat and support from Christian Aid and the Ford Foundation, the movement operates across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT.

It focuses on advocacy, community mobilization, theological training, and media engagement to challenge harmful gender norms and promote inclusive policies. Guided by values of Dignity, Justice, Faith, Love, and Integrity (DJ-FLI), the movement brings together diverse stakeholders to reframe religion as a force for social justice and gender equity.
