When institutions come together, change can move from intention to action.

Today, Centre LSD paid a courtesy visit to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), led by Executive Director Mr. Monday Osasah, to explore a potential partnership around the Women Can Lead project.

Representing the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu, was Mrs. Rabi A. Anwar, Esq., Director, Legal Services & Enforcement Department.

The conversation centred on a shared conviction: women’s leadership is not only a governance issue, it is a human rights issue.

The engagement was met with openness and enthusiasm, with both institutions recognising the value of working together to advance women’s leadership, gender justice, human rights and inclusive governance.

We believe this is a step towards bringing together human rights protection, gender justice, institutional accountability and women’s meaningful participation in governance.

Because women should not merely have a seat at the table.

They should have the space, support and power to lead.
