The African Centre for Leadership Strategy & Development, Side-by-Side Movement Nigeria Project will on Monday the 3rd of March 2025 convene a review and validation meeting for a policy document on furthering gender justice for religious leaders.

A statement by the project focal person on the Side-by-Side Movement at the Centre, Mr. Essien Nyong stated that the step is significant toward fostering inclusivity and equity, noting that the event underscores a collective commitment to addressing gender disparities and empowering marginalized voices through faith-driven leadership and policy reform.

The meeting, will bring together religious leaders of both the Christian and Islamic faith to critically examine the policy document, ensuring it reflects the realities, theological insights, and practical needs of religious leaders working towards gender justice. Participants will engage in discussions, offer feedback and collaboratively refine the document to enhance its impact and applicability across both faiths.

The meeting aims to provide religious communities with a robust framework for championing gender justice and fostering environments where all individuals can thrive, through the provision of actionable strategies to promote gender justice.
