Centre LSD Builds The Capacity of Faith/Traditional Leaders on the Side-by-Side Movement for Gender Justice Scale Up Project in Kano

A press statement by the project focal person on the Side-by-Side Movement for Gender Justice at the Centre, Mr. Nyong Essien noted that, the Movement is a global movement which brings Faith/Traditional Leaders and people of faith together as advocates of gender justice. The movement which has been in existence since 2018 supported by Christian aid recently got support from Ford Foundation to deepen its engagement in the two states of Benue and Kano.

Centre LSD therefore is organizing the capacity strengthening sessions to enhance the knowledge of the leaders as advocates of gender justice and also to create awareness on the project for its effective implementation, he noted that the capacity strengthening exercise is designed to culminate into the establishment of the side-by-side Movement for gender justice in Kano State.

He enjoined stakeholders and the public to follow activities on the project through the various Centre LSD social media channels: Facebook: @centrelsd Instagram: @centrelsd Twitter: @centrelsd Hashtag: #sbs4genderjustice
