The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD) as part of her activities in the implementation of the Community Led Collective Action for Girls Education (C-CAGE) project in partnership with Malala Fund, Monday September 2, 2019 commenced a training of trainers (TOT) for education stakeholders in Adamawa State.
The training which is holding in the 3 focal local government areas of Song, Numan and Maiha is a 2-day training aimed at building the capacity of education stakeholders to advance the campaign on the education of the girl-child in the northeastern part of Nigeria.
A statement by Ms. Frances Igwilo, the Gulmakai Champion for Malala fund, said participants expected at the workshop who are basically education stakeholders will include School Based Management Committee (SBMC), Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Community leaders, Safe Space facilitator and teachers from focal communities and local government areas of Song, Numan and Maiha.
The training which will focus on Advocacy, Leadership, education and campaign on the education of the girl child, will provide opportunity for community members to have a deeper interaction and understanding with Centre LSD on how to better own and engage with issues in the education sector as well as become community champions and advocates for the education of the girl child.
