The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development and other Education Champions Network (ECN) in Nigeria, with support from Malala Fund, organized a Town Hall meeting on the Education Election Advocacy project to discuss the civil society state-level education manifesto for political candidates in Adamawa State.
In this event, 35 political candidates in Adamawa State signed and committed to adopt the manifesto and to implement when elected The state-level Education manifesto for Adamawa State was developed in consultation with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Religious and Traditional Leaders in the state and this will be used to engage politicians vying for various positions to ensure that education is prioritized when elected to power.
The manifesto contains specific asks on education, which, when implemented, will help in achieving free, safe, and quality education for children in the state.
