Mon 05/02/2024 12:18  Dr. Otive Igbuzor is the Founding Executive Director of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) (See www.centrelsd.org). He is also the General Overseer of Palace of Priests Assembly (PPA)(www.priestsassembly.org). He was the Chief of Staff to the Deputy President of the Senate in the 9th National Assembly. He was one-time International Head of campaigns of ActionAid International and Country Director of ActionAid Nigeria. ActionAid International is an international organization working with people, communities, associates and partners in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe to eradicate poverty and injustice.(See www.actionaid.org). He was also an honourable Commissioner in the Police Service Commission (PSC) from 2008-2013 representing civil society. (See www.psc.gov.ng). Prior to joining ActionAid, he was a Programme Co-ordinator of Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), an independent research, information and training institution dedicated to policy-oriented scholarship on questions of democratic development and peace building in the West African sub-region. He also served as the Secretary of Citizens’ Forum for Constitutional Reform (CFCR), a coalition of over one hundred civil society organizations committed to a process led and participatory approach to constitutional reform in Nigeria (See www.cddwestafrica.org). Previously, he was a lecturer at the Delta State University, Lagos Centre and has published many scholarly articles on democracy, gender, politics and development. He is the author several books including Perspectives on Democracy and Development, Challenges of Development in Nigeria, Overcoming Challenges of Transformation in Nigeria, National Security and Policing in Nigeria, Alternative Development Strategy for Nigeria, Nigeria: Public Administration Reforms and the Emergence of Buhari (2015), Leadership, Development and Change, Triumphant Christian Living, Called to Serve God and Humanity, Reigning as Kings and Priests and Contemporary Issues on Development and Change in Nigeria. He is the co-editor of two authoritative books on Constitution making and Constitutionalism in Nigeria: Contentious Issues in the Review of the 1999 Constitution and A Citizens’ Approach to Making a People’s Constitution in Nigeria, and two others, one on Poverty Eradication titled Poverty Eradication in Nigeria: Perspectives on a Participatory and Pro-Poor Approach and the other on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) titled Can Nigeria achieve the MDGs in 2015?. In all, he has 53 academic publications including ten books and 16 articles in local and international journals. He holds a bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy, two masters’ degrees in Public Administration and International Relations and a doctorate degree in Public Administration specializing in Policy Analysis. He was a founding and leading member of many human rights and mass democratic organizations in Nigeria in the 1980s and ’90s. He is a member of many professional associations including Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria (ISMN) and Nigerian Institute of Management. He is a fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN). He is a past President of Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN) (www.ismn.com) and President of The Ejiro & Otive Igbuzor Foundation (www.igbuzorfoundation.org). He sits on the board of several organisations including Oando Foundation, Police Health Maintenance Ltd (Police HMO), Mining Implementation Strategy Team (MIST), Centre for Women’s Health and Information (CEWHIN), Nigerian Women Trust Fund and Partnership Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realisation (POWER). In recognition of his leadership roles, he was appointed by the immediate past Secretary General of United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki Moon in October, 2012 into the Global Network of Men Leaders to end Violence Against Women (www.un.org).

Vincent Dania is a seasoned project manager and Information Technology consultant with over a decade of experience in designing and implementing projects aimed at facilitating economic opportunities and fostering participation in decision-making for women and marginalized groups. He possesses a robust background in data analysis, demonstrating proficiency in interpreting and utilizing insights from datasets to strategically plan interventions and inform decision-making processes. Vincent holds a BSc in Microbiology from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, a Google Professional Data Analytics Certificate from Google, an Executive Certificate in Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills from the Pan Atlantic University School of Media and Communication, Lagos, and a master’s degree in information technology from the University of the People, California. Over the past five years, Vincent has been dedicated to addressing two pivotal questions in his role at Centre LSD: 1. How can we ensure that impoverished and rural communities in Africa benefit from the extraction of natural resources in their environment? 2. How do we effectively tackle cultural norms, laws, and religious beliefs that tacitly support violence, while simultaneously fostering increased economic opportunities for women and promoting their active participation in decision-making? Lawal Amodu holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in History from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1998. He also obtained a Master of Art Degree in history from University of Jos, Jos, in 2006. In 2007, Lawal began his career in the non-governmental sector with Global Rights, Nigeria as a Programme Intern. Since then, he has grown through the ranks in different organizations including Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) as Programme Officer, Citizens Forum for Constitutional Reform (CFCR) as Secretary, West African Civil Society Forum (WACSOF) as Programme Officer and currently, with African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) as a Programme Coordinator. He has a strong bias for issues around human rights, democracy, and good governance, and has successfully implemented projects around constitutional reform, youth participation, environment, and natural resource (Solid) governance and supported in the implementation of education project. He has participated in several national and international missions/fora some of which include national and international election observation mission, training, regional conferences on governance, solid minerals etc. His strength lies in programme/project management/implementation, facilitating strategic consultations with stakeholders, partnership building, advocacy, networking, and coalition management. He is currently working on the Open Government Partnership (OGP) where the engagement is focused on national and subnational levels.

Through his work, he proactively engaged and implemented over 45 projects successfully without any quarry or mismanagement of funds from donor organizations, both National and International donors, like, World Bank, British High Commission, DFID, Canadian Government under (DFATD, IRISH Aid, Australian High Commission Nigeria, National Endowment for Development (NED), USAID through the PACTNigeria, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), African Women Development Fund (AWDF), FORD Foundation, Chritian Aid (CAD), FCDO, Open Society Foundation (OSF), Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA), Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), National Democratic Institute (NDI), Japan Embassy in Nigeria, Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), and Ekiti Development Funds (EDF) etc. Also, he once received intense financial training on the Microsoft Excel reporting template from IBM-USA, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the National Democracy Institute (NDI), PACTNigeria, and the African Network for Environmental and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), which has positively impacted my service delivery.
