Kyauta Agmadalo Giwa has a background in Agriculture Extension and Management. She has over 20 years of experience working with National and International organizations spanning community mobilisation, organisational building, governance, peace and conflict resolution, education, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, sChild rights, Women’s rights, Movement Building working with women and youth-led organizations. She is passionate about social justice and an advocate for girl's education. She sits on the board on the board of some Non-Governmental Organizations, serving in various capacities. She has worked in several capacities including being an Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director in some leading national organizations. She has been involved in designing various donor interventions, especially on Safe Space Programmes. She has served in various national assignments including the 2014 National Conference representing Civil Society Organisations I also served at the National Conference representing the CSOs sector specifically in the sub-committee on Youth and Women towards formulating policies on different thematic areas that would address Nigeria’s political, socio-economic and peaceful co-existence for the development agenda in Nigeria. She also served in the Technical Working Committee on the School Reopening programme, the National Working Committee on the development of the Minimum Standards for Schools and was part of the working groups on review and development of the Accelerated Basic Education Programme in Nigeria. In addition, she has consulted for the United Nations Children Emergency Fund and was part of those who designed the Girls For Girls Strategy under the Girls Education Programme. She is passionate about girls and youth engagement, humanitarian work and an advocate for social justice. She is part of different networks and working spaces at global and regional levels. Currently, she works with ActionAid Nigeria.
